Juliens Auctions: Hollywood Legends 2015 features Marilyn Monroe's 'Somethings Got To Give Dress'


On June 26th and 27th,  Julien's Auctions will be auctioning numerous  items owned or belonging to Screen Goddess Marilyn Monroe.
The white Jean Louis dress with panted roses that she wore in her final film Something's Got to Give (20th Century 1962) will be auctioned. This is estimated to fetch between $400,000 and $600,000.
Marilyn was fired from the set but later rehired and was due to restart filming but she sadly died from an overdose of barbiturates at age 36 on Aug. 5, 1962.


Other Marilyn Monroe items include a black velvet bustier (Est $8,000 -$10,000), a black silk underskirt (Est $6,000 -$8,000)from the Estate of Marilyn Monroe, Monroe’s personal copy of behind-the-scenes footage of The Misfits, Monroe’s Frankie and Johnny script, a 1961 black and white photograph of Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable on the set of The Misfits, a Monroe side view X-ray (Est $800 - $10,00) from her visit to the hospital for her chronic endometriosis, a Marilyn Monroe grave marker (EST $2000- $4,000), and a Monroe cosmetic jar.
